State Mines Country Club: Commissioned in 1909 by the State Mines Gold Mining Company as a nine-hole recreational facility for its employees; subsequently upgraded to an eighteen-hole course. The membership took ownership of the course in 1970 and in the mid-1990’s appointed Architect Rob O’Friel to redesign the greens.
